This week’s episode is entitled “insight on celebrity, how to work with collaborators to grow your own audience.”
It will share briefly content that is inspired by the latest editions of 3 of Yanni’s several blogs that he has been creating since 2011 as a resource for businesses, nonprofits, and artist entertainers.
The current 3 blogs being briefly explored are platinumpias.com, marketermagician.com, and blogsofmedia.com.
As mentioned, the title of this episode of the celebify.com video mini podcast is “insight on celebrity – h to work with collaborators to grow your own audience.
Having as collaborators, friends who you work with is a vital part of the insight into the celebrity process. This is because when you collaborate with another person or organization, it has the mutual benefit of both you and your collaborator to have the opportunity to grow your own audience.
For example, quite a while ago, Yianni Stamas started collaborating on projects with someone he is still collaborating with today.
In 1996, Larry became a cast member during the 5th year of the decade running show Yanni created called Video Diary NYC. This was Yianni’s and Larry’s first collaboration.
Meet Larry “Rock Kolber. Kolber is perhaps best known by his dramatics stage name Rock and for being the founder of Dramatics NYC, the most successful salon chain in New York City history.
And as a fun twist to this episode of celebify.com, we have a trivia question for you about Larry Kolber.
The trivia question is, “who is the person who went on to become a celebrity, who early in her career had the job of sweeping the floor at one of Larry Kolber’s Dramatic’s NYC hair salons?
We will answer the trivia question at the end of this celebify.com episode with a quote and comment by Larry Kolber based on a question that Yianni Stamas recently asked him.
Meanwhile, since our topic in this episode is insight on celebrity, how to work with collaborators to grow your own audience, we are going to continue with the focus of collaboration.
Of the many collaborations that Larry and Yianni have done together, one that stands out is the 2011 edition of the Platinum Pia’s Community Awards Show in New York City. Yanni Stamas is the creator and producer of the Platinum PIAs, (PIA standing for “People I Admire”) that ran for 10 years annually from 2010 to 2019.
The 2011 Platinum Pia’s Awards ceremony specifically was a collaboration between Yianni’s then marketing, videography and editing company, Video Film Web, and Larry’s salon chain Dramatics NYC.
Here is an image of Larry at the Platinum PIAs Awards in 2011. Yianni can be seen to the right in this photograph that is also from the PIAs that night.
We are now going to read you an excerpt from the most recent blog post in the PlatinumPIAs.com at the time of this video, and I quote, in the world of celebrity and personal branding journey, celebrities often try to make a difference always and the ability to celebrate shared goals is a crucial skill. By recognizing and valuing the contributions of others in reaching mutual objectives, individuals can foster a sense of community that encourages ongoing collaboration. These collaborations between individuals and organizations, in turn, organically bring about an expansion in the process to grow your own audience, end quote.
Now let’s do a quote from the current edition of MarketerMagician.com on how marketing can be magic when it comes to collaboration when it is used to grow your own audience, and I quote, aligning goals for mutual and magical benefit. A key aspect of effective magical benefit. A key aspect of effective marketing is identifying goals that align with your interests and those of your target audience or potential collaborators. This alignment shifts the focus from being purely self-serving to a mutually beneficial perspective. Thus, increasing the likelihood of engagement and support, which is an example of the magic of collaborating. Unquote.
And now, there is one more online publication from the collection that Yianni created before we answer the trivia question we mentioned earlier about the mystery celebrity who used to sweep floors in one of Larry’s dramatics NYC hair salons.
The quote is from the current edition of Blogs of Media and is about achieving a win-win situation. And I quote, achieving a win-win situation. By helping others, you often find ways to achieve your own goals as well. This win-win approach is particularly effective in the realm of celebrity, where networking and collaboration are vital. When both parties benefit, the relationship becomes more sustainable and fruitful. Unquote.
And in conclusion, when you collaborate with others, your process and reach expand, and this in turn opens the gateway for you to grow your own audience.
We leave you now with the answer to the trivia question. Here is the question that Yianni asked Larry recently about someone who went on to become a celebrity. This is what Yianni asked Larry, and I quote, Larry, when you hired her to sweep floors for your salon, did you have any insight that she was going to become famous? Unquote.
Larry responded, and I quote, I had no insight whatsoever. Saw none of the qualities. She did sweep for us for a while and she was a good singer, unquote. Who is Larry Kolber, founder of Dramatics NYC, talking about? Her name is Mariah Carey.
