Yianni Stamas traveled from Manhattan NYC to Scranton, Pennsylvania for a special closed-door meeting with the two winners of the prestigious Society of American Magicians Parent Assembly 1 Magician of the Year Award.

Houdini was the president of Parent Assembly 1 for around the last ten years of his life until he passed away on Houdini Day, October 31, 1926.

Yianni met for two hours with Dorothy Dietrich and Dick Brooks, who jointly won the honor which for the first time ever was called “Magicians of the Year Award” because Dorothy and Dick are partners.

Even with all the wonderful duo magic team performers there are, Dorothy and Dick were the first ever to get this honor since the inception of the Magician of the Year Awards in 1968.

Although the specific content of Yianni’s meeting with Dorothy and Dick cannot be written about at this time, it was in regard to the annual Houdini Day Séance that the two of them have been doing for quite a while.

Yianni, who is the founder of Celebify, was initially planning on organizing his own séance because he discovered he lives blocks away from Bess Houdini’s (Houdini’s late widow) house.

But now Yianni has offered to help Dorothy Dietrich and Dick Brooks with their séance event and recommends it as being the go-to one when it comes to the annual Houdini Day, October 31, tradition since 1927.
